The Need
| The needs are many. Basic services such as schools and clinics are unavailable. Health care for illness, accidents or medical complications is almost non-existent. Many areas lack clean water, sanitation or access to any type of preventative medical education. Serving the spiritual and physical needs of poverty-ridden people in isolated regions is a difficult task. |

Today, as missionaries fly into the “back country” overcoming geographical obstacles, landing on unimproved runways, lakes or rivers, they have the unique opportunity to minister to the needs of people who often times are referred to as “the forgotten.” But landing on short, crude and undeveloped landing areas or flying without the navigational
aids which pilots in advanced countries take for granted, can be a challenging undertaking.
A missionary’s decision to spread the Word of God to people who live in remote areas can be incredibly rewarding. Missionaries are called to work in the most remote corners of the globe, serving the spiritual and physical needs of poverty-ridden people. There are few roads or reliable forms of communication. Vast numbers of mission stations are located in remote regions that cannot be reached without an airplane. Subsequently, missionaries rely on small aircraft to help them minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the people in these isolated and remote regions. |

The Solution
|
| Harvester’s International Mission, (HIM) is a non-profit organization, giving wings to the Gospel around the world by enabling mission aviation. HIM provides airplanes, equipment, and supplies to support the missionary in evangelism, church planting, and medical ministries on the mission field. Additionally, HIM recruits volunteer medical personnel and provides supplies for medical missions. Cessna 206 Stationaire airplanes are needed to serve as field aircraft. Its versatility, as well as its capacity to carry up to 1,435 pounds, makes it ideal for transporting people, medical equipment, supplies, and other vital cargo. |
